🔗 Share this article Hulu is Producing a Far Cry TV Series from the Creators of Alien: Earth and the Comedy Hit. The latest Far Cry title that audiences explored was Far Cry 6, which starred Giancarlo Esposito as the villain, Antón, and came out on October 6, 2021. As a series, it is known for embracing action and madness with equal glee, all while telling engaging, ideologically themed narratives. No wonder then that the network’s decision for a Far Cry limited-run show brought on board two visionaries whose projects have embodied all of those qualities. Show Details Inspired by Ubisoft's successful video game series, the self-contained anthology series is set to premiere on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The anthology will also mirror the video games' style by featuring a new location and group of personalities in every instalment. Creative Minds Rob Mac, mastermind of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will work as lead producers on the series under their labels, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be joined by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. The network enjoyed magnificent collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we couldn’t be more excited that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a announcement. “I have no doubt that they will present this story in a way that is innovative, engrossing, and extremely entertaining. We also want to thank our collaborators at Ubisoft for trusting us with this beloved property.” What’s Next Mac will also star in the show, but currently, we do not know what role that might entail. Hawley's Alien: Earth was just greenlit for another season, with FX and Disney finalizing a new overall deal with the producer. “Having the opportunity alongside Noah Hawley is a goal achieved,” said Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been remarkably supportive, entrusting us with one of the most iconic video-game universes ever created. And along the way, my FX family constantly supports me with their ongoing confidence and support.” “What appeals to me about the Far Cry game franchise is that it’s an anthology-style series. Every instalment is a variation of a idea, the same way every run of Fargo is a adaptation on a premise,” noted Hawley. “To produce a large-scale action show that can change from year to year, while always examining the nature of people through this intricate and chaotic perspective, is a ultimate goal. I’m excited to work with Rob and introduce our mutual irreverent, ambitious approach to the television.” A schedule for when we can expect the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
