Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm. An official for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams." Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals. The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions." A Prolific Literary Career Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages. The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008. Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies. To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October. Television and Literature His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*. He received an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts. This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
